Product Features

Landscape Lock is a white coloured, powerful adhesive that dries to a transparent flexible film, that’s water proof and blocks UV light.

Diluted with water, the emulsion sprays easily to bind mulch particles together, sealing pores and cracks preventing degradation, colour fading and microbial rotting.

The initial white colour indicates the area sprayed and the level of coverage can be easily assessed. Edges of beds should have more product applied than the centre of the bed.

LANDSCAPE LOCK ALLOWS MULCH TO PERFORM AT ITS BEST

Landscape Lock allows water and air to circulate freely through the treated mulch, carrying fertilizers down to the soil and preventing damp build up and mould growth.

Mulch coated with Landscape Lock protects the soil from extremes of temperature and prevents weeds from germinating.

WEATHER AND SUBSTRATE

  • For BEST results, use Landscape Lock only when there is little or no chance of rain or strong wind

  • Apply chosen mulch product to bed surface and when satisfied with the coverage, apply Landscape Lock.

  • DO NOT apply to wet materials

  • DO NOT apply when surface temperature is below 3 Degrees C – preferably apply in full sunlight to accelerate drying

  • DO NOT apply LANDSCAPE LOCK if rain is expected within 24 hours of application – do not irrigate for at least 24 to 48 hours

  • In very hot dry conditions LANDSCAPE LOCK may dry too quickly and not form a strong bond – in these circumstances lightly dampen the substrate

  • prior to application

BONDING TIME

Bonding starts immediately upon application –without being disturbed or further diluted, full strength will be achieved within 24 to 48 hours, dependent upon temperature and humidity.

Works best with fibrous or shredded mulch where more surface contact is made between mulch pieces. Large nugget type mulch may require a second coat and may not permit foot traffic.
